The Number 8 turquoise mine was a famous mine in Eureka County, Nevada, known for its distinctive spiderweb turquoise with a golden-brown or black matrix and beautiful blue to green colors. It was discovered in 1925 and was operational until 1976 when it was closed and the land was taken over by a gold mining company.

Today, the mine is closed to turquoise mining, making the material rare and highly valued by collectors.
