The Number 8 turquoise mine was a famous mine in Eureka County, Nevada, known for its distinctive spiderweb turquoise with a golden-brown or black matrix and beautiful blue to green colours. It was discovered in 1925 and was operational until 1976 when it was closed and the land was taken over by a gold mining company.
Today, the mine is closed to turquoise mining, making the material rare and highly valued by collectors.
Designed to create a contemporary twist on a traditional Native American style, this beautiful ring is ideal as a statement piece but not too ostentatious for everyday wear either!
