Mala's from Breathe
A Mala is a simple string of beads used in meditation, mindfulness or prayer. Malas can also be used to count breaths in breath work. Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning garland or rosary. Malas are ancient tools to keep the mind focused and clear from thoughts.
In Buddhist customs, malas typically contain 108 beads. Our Mala Bracelet is available in configurations of 18, 21, or 27 beads, reflecting 'auspicious divisions' of the complete 108 set, tailored to your wrist size.
The Wrist Mala Bracelet is inspired by the traditional Buddhist Mala's used in meditation and prayer. The bracelets are a practical and helpful tool to daily mindfulness practice and support self grounding at times of stress.
Mala bracelets can be a useful support for individuals with anxiety and neurodiversity, effectively providing a discreet distraction and fidget outlet.
We carefully select high quality beads and create our Mala's using durable knotting cord and a traditional Tibetan square knotting technique.
All our Mala's have been mindfully crafted by an experienced Reiki practitioner
Using Your Mala in Meditation:
- Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, directing the breath into your low belly.
- Pause for 1-2 seconds.
- Slowly exhale the breath out through the nose.
- Pause for 1-2 seconds.
For each round, either count each breath with each bead on the mala, or use one bead to count each of the four steps of the breath. Focus your mind on the sensation of each of these four steps of your breath as you touch each bead with your fingers. Whenever thoughts or distractions come into your mind, turn your focus back to the feelings of your breathing and the touching of each gemstone.
