Sterling Silver Molten Metal Ring – Oval

A bold, modern statement ring, handmade from molten sterling silver and shaped into a striking freeform oval. Heavy in weight and impossible to ignore, this ring is only for the bold.

How it is made

Each ring begins as solid sterling silver, which is heated with a jeweller's torch until it reaches nearly 900°C and turns completely molten. At that point the silver flows like liquid, and it is allowed to move and settle naturally into a freeform oval shape.

As the metal cools and hardens, it keeps the organic ripples, folds and texture created while it was molten. The shaped silver is then joined to a solid sterling silver band, cleaned and polished by hand to bring out the contrast between its bright, shining surfaces and its natural, molten texture.

Because the silver is never forced into a mould, the final shape is decided by the metal itself. That means no two molten rings are ever exactly alike, and every piece is unique.
